FLOW MCP · AGENT NATIVE

Bring your agent on set.

Any MCP-capable agent host can connect to Flow — parse scripts, build assets, submit storyboards, launch renders. Three steps to connect, zero points spent, and real generation always waits for your confirmation.

Copying config is setup, not proof of installation. Real generation or export still waits for your confirmation.

Three steps in

3 CHECKS · NO SPEND

01ACCOUNT

Create or copy key

Open API Keys, create a Flow key, and copy the install config while the secret is visible.

02AGENT

Paste into your host

Add the config to any MCP-compatible agent host. Claude, Codex, IDE agents, and custom hosts are examples.

03READY

Restart & run tools/list

A working install means Flow validates the key and your agent can initialize MCP and list Flow tools.

The main path needs only three checks. Keep the rest for troubleshooting.

Advanced details

Same account key: MCP and advanced API access use Flow Keys that can be created and revoked from your account.

Media stays in Flow: Images, video clips, music, previews, and exports stay in the Flow project instead of disappearing into an agent chat.

Clear production steps: Whether work starts from an agent or from the workspace, Flow shows the plan before real generation or export starts.

SAFETY GATES

Flow holds the confirmation gate

NO-SPEND SETUP

Install, discovery, and read checks do not call paid generation services.

CONFIRMATION GATE

Video generation, export, credit reserve, and final delivery still require Flow confirmation.

WORKSPACE SCOPE

External agents can only read or propose inside the Workspace authorized by the Flow key.

AGENT HOSTS

Any MCP host can join

These are examples, not the boundary. Use any MCP-compatible host that accepts a custom server config.

Troubleshooting order

Use this order only when the three-step install path does not work.

  1. 01Create a Flow account
  2. 02Generate a Flow API key
  3. 03Copy the host-specific MCP config
  4. 04Run the Flow backend connection test
  5. 05Run initialize and tools/list inside your MCP-capable agent host
  6. 06Open Workspace to review pending changes and agent sessions
  7. 07Confirm only when you are ready to generate or export
